Last week, my grandmother called Chris, asking if they could come for a visit, to meet their newest great-grandchild (and only great-granddaughter).
They hadn't actually been to our house for about a year, since Andrew's 1st birthday party. We usually go over to their house to see them, so it was nice that they offered to come visit us so soon after Lucy's birth.
When they arrived, Chris gave them a tour of our house with a special focus on Lucy's room, the extended patio area, and the newest additions to the garden. We then sat down with my mother who also came over to join us for a cheese plate which Chris prepared and a little cranberry-flavored wine (and of course, water). It was a really nice afternoon visit.
